Feeling Lonely is Tough: How to Pull Yourself Out

Feeling lonely is tough

Are you feeling LONELY? It's tough and it can be downright depressing. This feeling overcomes many of us, you are not alone. You can feel left out, unwanted, and unloved. You just fall deeper into seclusion and oftentimes, it brings our lives to a STOP. You just stay stuck there. You feel defeated and down.

In today’s world it’s easy to shut our door to the bedroom or our home and shut the world out. Not going anywhere. Not doing anything. Not communicating with anyone. It’s a sad and lonley place to be. But you have to pull yourself up out of this and FAST!

Stop staying SHUT inside. Stop scrolling! Lay that dang phone down. That phone is entertaining you and taking up all your time. What if you had a child that stayed in his/her room 24/7 shut in, spending all their time watching the POISON on the internet? Would you want this to continue? No, because their brain is not being used in healthy ways or exposed to healthy things. So, why would you do this to yourself? Wake up! Feeling Lonely is Tough: How to Pull Yourself Out

Learning is Part of Life

Give yourself credit and GRACE. You do your best. You are a GOOD person, even if you've made MANY MISTAKES along the way. GOOD people make MILLIONS OF MISTAKES. We are HUMAN. It's how we learn—learning is with us from BIRTH. We don't know everything. We learn as we go. Don't put EXTRA pressure on yourself, the world gives us ENOUGH pressure. Give yourself credit & GRACE! Change your focus onto something productive and makes you FEEL good.

Reach out to someone you know or don’t know. Ask them to go do SOMETHING specific...

  • Go to a movie (yes that still happens )

  • Meet for an ice cream

  • Go bowling

  • Take an evening walk (pick a subdivision or football field)

  • Walk your favorite towns small shops

  • Go thrift shopping

  • Visit an aquarium or a zoo

Use that voice of yours to communicate and strike up conversations. Never be afraid to be yourself and use your voice. Have confidence in yourself and who you are and where you are going in life.

How to Deal with Mean and Rude People

If someone EVER wants to be mean and rude to you—Smile, and walk away. It's that simple. Because you don’t need or want that type of person in your life. You would never treat someone that way, so don’t allow it to happen to you.

And remember if someone is mean and rude to others, it’s because they have issues to deal with, not you. Moving through this lifetime journey being your BIGGEST self-supporter and protector is the healthiest way to move forward, and the best way to move forward for YOU.

Go through this lifetime journey being your biggest CHEERLEADER, it feels amazing.

Not everyone will like you and not everyone will be loyal, honest, and true to you. Not everyone will like what your opinions or what you say or your choices. And that’s OKAY—Because it’s your life to live, not theirs. Let them go live their life how they want to. But it’s best you move forward and have good people in your life that treat you with respect and care about your happiness, health, and how you feel.

In summary, you must be the one to work hard to stop the negative thoughts about yourself in your own head. It’s not easy sometimes. Have a phrase ready for when those thoughts come. Tell yourself something positive.

Change your focus. Focus immediately on something else.

  • Hobby or craft

  • Pick up a book and read

  • Go out for a walk

  • Do something you’ve been putting off (it feels so good to accomplish it)

  • Take a shower or bath

  • Play a musical instrument

  • Focus on healthy meal prep for the next 7 days

  • Dust off that exercise equipment

  • Go swimming

  • Bake some cookies

  • Do something NICE for someone else
